Given nine images of women, can you pick out the "hot" one? Find the Hotties is a flash game which tests your dexterity, mind and manliness. Play eight rounds and try to pick out the best looking girl as fast as possible. Who knows, you might even get in the top 10.
Find The Hotties started as a joke. Karan came up with the brilliant idea for use as a CAPTCHA. Andrew Munn and I decided to take it to the next level and immediately began developing a game. I developed the Flash while Andrew worked on the backend with Python and Django. After a few days we registered FindTheHotties.com and stuck the game up there. As for getting the images of girls I wrote a hilarious AutoHotKey program that scrapes a website where girls post pictures of themselves and are rated by the general public. Find The Hotties is my first game developed in Adobe's new and sleek CS4.
Mow lawns, get cash, customize your lawn mower and make it to the top! The Mowing Game is a addictive Flash game I made during the summer of '08. I have found that some people find the game very challenging and some think it is far too easy. Test your mowing skills and play the Mowing Game.
In a world of fear and mistrust there is a fatal virus rampant throughout the world. It is transmittable through touch and carriers of the virus are oblivious to the fact that they have it. The only symptom is the host suddenly and violently explodes a few hours being infected. Try to navigate through the dangerous world by listening to the local townspeople and using the items you find along the way.
I created this flash game in 2007 as a visual for an English project. It was defiantly more fun than making a poster.
Customize ships and pit them against each other in combat. Try to find the most powerful combination of abilities, equipment and fighting style to make the ultimate ship!
A platformer racing game, Arena Race tests your precision and technique. Jump on every platform as quickly as possible and watch your replay after to develop your technique.
Play Settlers of Catan without having to roll dice! The dice cards program gives a fair distribution of rolls and makes for more strategic play.
Featuring a fish, a snail, seaweed and algae, Aquarium is an aqueous environment simulation. The fish eats the seaweed, the seaweed produces algae and the algae gets eaten by the snail. If algae levels get too high, the tank turns green with fatal pollution.
The idea was inspired in 2007 by a professor at Champlain College who made a similar game with involving plants. The vision I had when creating the game was to show how nature would always strive towards equilibrium. However, in the current system there are too few specimens and everything dies. The game was developed in Flash using Actionscript 3.0.
Place balls with varying speed, pitch and position in the box. Every time a ball bounces against a wall it plays a note. This project combines animation and sound and can be used to create complex synchronized beats and melodies. The idea was inspired by Eric Sample, a professor at Champlain College.
Taking tower defense games to the next level, this flash game has several unique features. The game pits two players against each other; each player builds towers for defense and sends creeps for offense. Therefore, the creeps you are killing in your maze of towers are the creeps the other player sent. The game uses a customized A* pathfinding algorithm which allows the creeps to find the fastest way through your maze. However, every creep must visit two nodes along the way. This allows you to build a much more complex maze (you can make creeps go through the same spot three times). The key to winning is to balance offense with defense. After each game you can save your design (the towers you built and the creeps you sent) onto the design board. Based on who you beat your design will be ranked and other people can then go on and play versus your design. Using this system adds the element of human creativity and guarantees the game will never become too easy.
As for project development, the design board is finished along with most of the game. Currently I am working on adding different types of towers and creeps. Still on the list is to work on balance and improve the website on which the game will sit.
